Our cottage has close neighbors but seems like it is a world away. Nestled in the trees, it is easy to acess with a relatively level driveway and no huge hill to drive.
Our cottage is within walking distance of the neighborhood 22 acre lake and Boone Fork Creek.
Enjoy time at the 22 acre lake by getting in (no lifeguard) or relaxing on the nearby chairs.
There is a lakeside firepit for all guests to share. Wood is provided by the HOA.
There is also a rack of kayaks and canoes for guest use down by the lake. We keep a few lifejackets and paddles at the house, but if you have your own I recommend bringing them.
The community also has several miles of trails for you to enjoy without even leaving the community! Some meander along the river and you can follow them to the lake or simply bring a chair and read a book.
This map shows approximate driving distances from Timberwalk to local attractions. There is also a Blue Ridge Parkway access on Holloway Mtn Road just 3 minutes from the Sweetgrass Entrance. Be sure to check all drive times before departing!
